CARING FOR YOUR LINGERIE - WASHING TIPS
When caring for your delicate lingerie, it is always best to follow the manufacturer care label. Most lingerie, especially those made of lace, require the the garment to be hand washed to retain shape and elasticity. With the proper care, your delicate lingerie will provide you with many nights, (and days) of pleasure!

Oops! What if you have already clipped the care label in anticipation of enjoying your new garment? You can follow the simple advice below to extend the life of your delicate lingerie.

General Lingerie Care:   Many washing machines have "delicate" or "hand wash" cycles. If hand washing your delicates is a daunting task, you can purchase mesh garment bags and place 1 to 3 items in each bag depending on the size. Wash using cold water and a small amount of liquid detergent intended for delicates. When cycle is complete, follow drying instructions listed below.

  • To avoid a color bleed, different colors should be washed separately
  • Be sure to fasten all hooks and clasps to avoid getting caught on the lace from another garment
  • Hand wash in warm water with a small amount of liquid detergent intended for delicates
  • Gently rub or agitate the items, soaking for no more than 5 minutes
  • Rinse thoroughly in cool water one at a time
  • Wrap in a towel and press out any excess water then allow to lay flat or hang to air dry

  • Corset Care:   Many Corsets are made with steel boning which will rust over time if in contact with too much water. Its is always best to have your Corset cleaned by a professional dry cleaner. However, when dry cleaning is not an option you can follow these guidelines to keep your Corset clean and fresh

  • Use a damp cloth to spot clean and clean the lining
  • Hand wash in warm water with a small amount of liquid detergent intended for delicates
  • Rinse thoroughly in running cool water until water is clear - do not wring out
  • Wrap in a towel and press out any excess water then hang to air dry away from heating source
  • Treat with fabric protector before wearing for easy removal of spots and spills
  • Store your Corset flat - do not roll

  • Leather Care:
  • Remove small stains as soon as possible with a cleaner like saddle soap
  • Allow a wet or damp Leather garment air dry away from a heating source
  • Polish with a good qualify leather polish
  • For more serious stains, use a professional dry cleaner
  • Store your Leather garment in a well ventilated area out of a garment bag

  • Vinyl Care:

  • To avoid a color bleed, different colors of Vinyl should be washed separately
  • Hand wash both the inside and outside in warm water with a small amount of liquid detergent
  • One at a time, gently rub the garment together to loosen and remove any stains

  • Allow to air dry inside out. Once inside is dry, turn to let Vinyl side dry
  • Polish with a small amount of silicone spray
